The COVID-19 pandemic continues to create challenges in everyone's daily life. We here at the CMC Haunted House want our visitors to know we are taking necessary precautions to ensure your 2021 haunted house experience is done in a safe, clean manner.

The CMC Haunted House will operate in 2021 under the New York State Reopening Guidelines specific to "low risk indoor arts & entertainment." Based on these guidelines, CMC Haunted House will implement the following standards:

Upon arriving, you will enter the parking lot and proceed to our check-in tent.

There you will be greeted and temperature checked. At that time you will also

make your purchase and then be directed to park. From there, guests will be

moved to wait areas outside the haunted house and be given a number. Our host

team will come retrieve you from your assigned wait area when its time for your

number to get up and enter the house. Please, do not venture around the property

during your wait time as we are striving to abide by NYS Health and CDC social

distancing guidelines, which allow us to safely operate in 2021. Your failure to

assist us in following the necessary protocols could risk our fundraiser to be

shutdown, which would be detrimental to our success. Thank you for your

Workforce restrictions and guidelines, which will include, but not limited to:

  • A reduction and/or limit in staff/volunteers for the 2021 season

  • All staff/volunteers are asked to arrive no more than 60 minutes prior to opening and must depart immediately following the conclusion of the night to resist gathering

  • All staff/volunteers will be given temperature checks before signing in to work

  • All staff/volunteers will be required to wear masks or face coverings; must cover both the mouth and nose at all times

  • All staff/volunteers will be instructed not to work, and immediately return home, in the event of feeling ill or showing signs of a fever

  • All staff/volunteers will have access to hand washing stations and hand sanitizer

  • All actors will be asked to dress in costumes at home to limit dressing room needs

  • All actors must not share make-up and/or other items associated with costumes

  • All actors are instructed to limit actor-to-visitor interaction, including no touching and avoiding in-the-face yelling/screaming

  • Haunted House staff will monitor and control flow within haunted spaces to ensure safe distancing of visitors

Visitor restrictions will include following:

  • All visitors will be required to wear masks or face coverings; must cover both the mouth and nose at all times. Failure to do so may result in immediate removal from the haunted house property. In addition, use of Halloween costume masks are not permitted.

    • Masks will be available for purchase in the event a visitor does not have one

  • Maintain social distancing of 6' in all waiting areas, ticket line, within the haunted spaces, etc

  • Tour groups will be kept to members of their own group, not combined with others

  • Visitors will be asked to stay in wait areas until their turn to enter. These areas will be sanitized after each use. In the event wait areas are full, groups waiting to tour will be directed to remain in their vehicles and a text will be sent to inform visitors when they are permitted to enter

  • Visitors are asked not to touch props or actors

  • Visitors are encouraged to utilize the provided hand sanitizing stations throughout the property

CMC Haunted House has in place these preventative measures in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, CMC Haunted House cannot guarantee that you will not become infected with COVID-19. Furthermore, your attendance could increase your risk of contracting COVID-19.

All visitors are participating at your own risk.

By attending our attraction, visitors acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that they may be exposed to, or infected by, COVID-19.
